MEET THE JUDGES

The Launch:HER Awards are about empowering women leaders in nonprofit organizations to make a greater impact in their communities. Our 2024 judges are women who’ve continued to make waves in their respective fields, and we’re honored to have their help in selecting the three women-led organizations that will receive up to half a million in pro bono PR and marketing services.
Erica Holborn
Erica Holborn is the CEO of SANDOW DESIGN GROUP, overseeing brands like Interior Design and Metropolis. Since joining in 2013 as Chief Strategy Officer, she has played a key role in the company’s growth, managing a broad portfolio of luxury and design assets under founder Adam Sandow. Promoted to CEO in 2020, Holborn led the launch of new ventures like ThinkLab, DesignTV by SANDOW, The Studio by SANDOW—a video production house, SURROUND—a podcast network and production studio—and The Agency by SANDOW, further expanding SANDOW’s influence in design media and services. SANDOW’s platforms now reach over 20 million globally. Previously, she was President and COO of TrialGraphix, a national leader in litigation consulting firm. Holborn also served on the boards of several organizations, including Sharing & Caring, Fred Segal, The Worth Group, and Material Bank, and is currently the Chairperson of the Board for NYCxDESIGN.
Sunny Levine
Sunny Levine (she/her) is the Chair of the Board of the Queer Food Foundation and a digital marketer, food journalist, and cook based in Baltimore, Maryland. With experience in Fortune 500 innovation strategy and nonprofit research, Sunny is committed to food justice and the intersection of food technology and sustainability. A proud Filipina Jew, her multicultural background inspires her passion for food and cooking. Sunny holds a B.A. in History and Science from Harvard College and began her career at the Fine Cacao and Chocolate Institute. She now drives digital transformation in the food industry, advocating for equity and sustainability through her work with the Queer Food Foundation.
Vanessa Parish
Vanessa Parish (she/her) is a Black, Indigenous, lesbian chef and advocate, serving as the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Queer Food Foundation. She leads efforts to create inclusive spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals in the food industry. Vanessa has founded initiatives like “Brown Books for Brown Kids” and “Tasty Tutelage” and has collaborated with platforms like Food Network, NBC, and Google. She hosted Tasty’s "Tasting Our Roots,"— a show that garnered over 20 million views—competed on Food Network’s Chopped Sweets, has been recognized as a Savage X Fenty’s 2022 Game Changer, and is currently a correspondent for Eating Well Magazine. Vanessa is also an advocate for mental health, disability rights, and justice reform, and the celebration of Queer Black Girl magic.
Amanda Vierheller
Amanda Vierheller is the COO and co-founder of Playgarden and Playgarden Online, dedicated to providing quality early education for young children and families. With three private preschool locations in NYC and a premier online learning program, Amanda has a background in PT and preschool education and over 25 years of experience in curriculum development and early childhood enrichment. She has opened dozens of children’s facilities globally and designed innovative playrooms to promote development. Alongside her partners, Valeska von Schirmeister and Carlos Corona, Amanda is working to offer free online preschool and pre-K programs through libraries nationwide, aiming to ensure all children are prepared for kindergarten success.
